While most people know a Realtor® is an excellent partner to have in buying or selling a home, it can be daunting to choose the right one. After all, everyone is an individual with different personalities, communication styles, strengths, weaknesses, etc. And just like choosing friends, business partners or service providers, it’s important to make sure the Realtor® a buyer or seller picks is the best one for him or her.
To help consumers in their journey to find a Realtor® that best fits their needs, NAR President Chris Polychron, executive broker with 1st Choice Realty in Hot Springs, Ark., spoke with the hosts of the weekly home improvement radio show The Money Pit. He began by pointing out the significance of finding a Realtor® whose style matches the buyer’s or seller’s style.
“When you choose a Realtor®, you want to choose somebody that has the same kind of characteristics as you do,” Polychron said. “Do you want somebody that calls you frequently? Do you want somebody that uses technology to communicate?”
